Our History

Alan Shaw began Plastic Recycling, Inc. in 1988. He noticed a need in the plastics industry for an entrepreneurial entity that was willing to provide high quality economical products, that were beneficial for the environment. Alan’s customer centered, family owned culture, has led to the exponential growth of Plastic Recycling, Inc. Because of Alan’s commitment to our culture we’re proud to say that we cultivate a diverse atmosphere of mutual respect.

Employer Partnerships / Internships

Indiana FAME
Central Indiana Chapter

The Indiana Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (INFAME) connects area students with employer partners, obtaining sponsorship to pursue a two-year technology degree. Sponsoring companies provide the student with paid work experience and on-the-job mentorship. The student works part-time while balancing a weekly work / study schedule.

Modern Apprenticeship Program (MAP)

Modern Apprenticeship Program (MAP) is a three-year program designed to prepare Central Indiana high school students for the workforce with paid, hands-on experience that complements their traditional coursework.
